Chronology of cameras Gaumont
The particularity of this metal version of the Stereo Spido 6 x 13 is that it is equipped with a pair of Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 1: 3.5. These are quite fast lens that are not very common on this type of equipment. Since this unit allows for panoramic views by translation of the front panel, users had to be careful to close the diaphragm enough to have a clear picture on the entire surface of the plate. It is probably for this reason that the minimum aperture of the lenses is 1: 50.
This version is shown on the Photo-Plait catalog dated 1928.
